Turning uncertainty into opportunity: Possibility Ocean- The Summit, March, 2025

The Possibility Ocean Summit was a first-of-its-kind gathering designed to bring together business leaders, ocean data pioneers, and cross-sector innovators to unlock the economic potential of ocean observation. As climate risks intensify and global markets increasingly depend on marine intelligence, scalable, cost-effective ocean data is no longer just a scientific challenge—it’s a business imperative.

EarthHouse Fund proudly supported Possibility Ocean, a collaborative initiative with Giant Shoulders, a brand strategy and design agency.

EarthHouse Fund provided seed funding to launch Possibility Ocean’s first Summit on March 18, 2025. Founder Peter Carson played a key role in its creation, offering business strategy and industry engagement to connect ocean innovators with private sector support.

• Raise Awareness of the critical need for ocean data that underpins science, commerce, social, and environmental resiliency, along with the gap between the data we need and what is available. 
• Break Down Silos by intentionally convening unlikely collaborators—scientists, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, creatives, and policymakers—to foster cross-sector dialog and collaboration.
• Inject Imagination by reframing crisis into a bold vision of possibilities, and through compelling storytelling and design, they provide clear goals we can plan for and live into.

Possibility Ocean is a creative force driving change in the ocean data ecosystem. We are scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, corporate leaders, and storytellers demonstrating how imagination is the missing infrastructure for a thriving blue economy.
